About Me
I am a current Senior in the Interior Design program at North Dakota State University. While in the CIDA accredited program I have been given the resources to drive my projects to be focused on human centered design. Additionally, I have advanced technical skills in Revit, Adobe apps, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Enscape, and more! This past summer I completed my Internship at Pope Design Group in St. Paul. To learn more about my internship experience go to the internship page! I have also been an active member of the NDSU chapter of American Society of Interior Design. During the 23-24 academic year I will be on the executive board as the Co-Fundraiser Chair. This spring I will be graduating from NDSU, after graduation I plan to be hired as an Interior Designer in a commercial firm located in or east of the Twin Cities.
I grew up in Scandia, Minnesota, a small town just north of Stillwater. I went to grade school in Osceola, Wisconsin. While in high school I was involved in many extracurricular activities including Cheerleading, Studio Dance, Flag Line, Forensics, and Basketball Managing. While growing up my parents and family were my biggest supporters I owe my hard work ethic and determination to them. Now I love spending my free time weightlifting, spending time with friends and family, being creative, and watching movies/tv shows.
How I started my love for Interior Design:
I owe my passion for Interior Design to my grandma, if you talked to her she would say I was creative ever since I was born. On my 3rd birthday I asked for 'fancy cutting scissors' and instead of playing with dolls I would want to build homes and set ups for the dolls so out came the popsicle sticks and hot glue. My grandma knew I had to go into a creative career field so she discovered Interior Design and let me 'design' the grandkids room in her house, I fell in love with it instantly. From there the rest was history.
